Invited to contribute to Yale North Gallery’s exhibition on Black contributions to architecture, Dom authored a written piece that articulates his ideas and reflections on the discipline.

Dominiq had the privilege of sharing a once-in-a-lifetime experience with 49 fellow participants at the Venice Biennale, curated by Lesley Lokko and the African Futures Institute. Read more about the project.

New Haven Civic Innovation Prize - tsai centre for innovative thinking at Yale, 2022

The New Haven Civic Innovation Prize awards up to $10,000 to the best student- or community-led venture or project focused on benefiting New Haven. Dominiq was awarded $2,000 from the prize fund to help support his work with the Newhallville community. The money went towards the renovation fund for the project. Youth Help Shape Future Community Hub, 2022

The project started off as a pro-bono project connected by various local community organisations. Dominiq connected with NHS Community Building & Organising team and Kim Harris of Inspired Communities Inc. to convert an old laundromat into a multi-generational centre. Dominiq Oti has introduced Harris & Tucker students to the architectural design process, incorporating their ideas into volunteer designs for a new community space. Read here
